Last post today

Thursday night Andy got the urge to paint his "new to him" kayak. He wasn't really impressed with the black and purple color scheme Wavesport had provided so he took matters into his own hands. As you can see the results are impressive.

He's definitely got an eye for design.

We have a feeling the that paint job probably won't last too long. We used "Krylon Fusion" paint. It's supposed to be no prep...I don't think so. Any spot that didn't get sanded the paint just peeled right up, aaarrgghh! But at least it will look cool for a few days.

That's all I've got for now.

Man, that boy's got skills....

How did he go about doing it [masking, layering, what kind of paint, will it survive the water]?

Ya' know, between your photo skills and his design skills, there's got to be some kind of business application just begging for you two.

Hey Ian how are you?

We used "Krylon Fusion" it's a paint speciflcally for plastics. I think It will do fine in the water, but it's very delicate. It will most likely wear off pretty quick As far as the process goes. He painted the red first, no tape or anything, just by eye. Then he taped off the red and painted the blue. He paainted the yellow and took the pictures fter I left so I'm not sure what he did. Probably just taped off the red and painted it up.
I think you'd fit in his kayak. I bet we could tach you to roll it a one day
